The early years

Cannon’s Project is a combination of tradition, innovation, excellence, and perseverance. It began in the early 1960s with Leonardo Volpato and Carlo Fiorentini, engineers who envisioned a company that united people through a strong vision of the future. They imagined a cohesive, family-oriented — and simultaneously international — organization where people would be encouraged to grow, leaving space for innovative and even revolutionary ideas. They believed then, and we continue to believe today, in a path to success based on technology and people.

The network

In addition to the 30 fully owned companies that make up the Group, the Project comprises a few long-standing partners, like Manni in Northern Italy and Nortec in Denmark, who have contributed to Cannon’s success for several decades. Moreover, an effective network of agencies, most of which are mono-mandataries, covers other industrialized nations.

Our synergy with Manni makes us the market leader in discontinuous panel lines, which recently have undergone breakthroughs in energy savings and applications crucial for preserving and transporting refrigerated goods.

Today, the Group has offices worldwide covering a vast range of industrial sectors such as reactive polymer solutions for polyurethanes, composites and thermoforming, raw chemical storage and turnkey plants; industrial boilers, water treatment plants, artificial intelligence, and industrial automation.

The diversification value

Such diversification makes us less dependent on the performance of a single industry. It opens doors to new sectors and creates the conditions for broad knowledge and management flexibility. We act as One Group while evaluating differences that create new points of view, enable innovation, and provide competitive advantage.

The people

As the Group grows and our presence expands, we urge strengthening the sense of belonging. Thus, “We Are Cannon” was started to enhance the value of our people and the synergies achievable by working as a team.
With this in mind, we offer scholarships rewarding excellence as early as secondary school for our employees’ children, onboarding training for new hires, and specialization courses to increase the skills and expertise of sales teams and project managers from the Group’s different companies to harmonize our professional Cannon approach.
